Goldenote - Piccolo B5 arm and Babele cartridge combination
The Piccolo is a clear acryllic plinth rigid turntable. Like all the other turntables it is a belt driven unit. It produces a very smooth, detailed and natural sound. To achieve this high level of sonic performance the turntable is made of parts exclusively manufactured using precision machining and the very highest quality materials.
The turntable platter is made of 20mm thick acryllic supported on a 15mm thick transparent acrylic plinth rigidly coupled to its feet. The Piccolo uses a high quality precision pulley for smooth rotation.
The innovative platter bearing/spindle system is derived directly from the best turntable models. It is based on an external threaded bearing set up with an in axis housing and uses the Split-Spindle™. The bearing has two small graphite/Teflon® internal bearings enabling the Piccolo to perform very close to the standard set by the more expensive models.
The Piccolo now also offers the latest Goldenote exclusive Highly Dampened Motor system, HDM, allowing a super silent smooth rotation so far unthinkable for AC motor designs.
The Piccolo uses the Tulipan™, Goldenote’s high performance aluminium pulley supplied with every turntable in the range. Made in the shape of a flower, one can easily adjust its ‘petals’ wider or narrower for fine speed adjustment.
