4 x silver-plated OFC conductors in PTFE with WBT connectors. Each Mini Moncayo link has an acoustic absorption module and replaces the crossover bridging clips on the terminals behind a speaker.

The effect is like bi-wiring with a very good speaker cable without needing to double-up on the existing speaker cable with the added advantage of retaining the star-earth effect of the original crossover.

The Skiff, like other of Role Audio loudspeakers, is designed to deliver large scale loudspeaker performance in the smallest possible design.

The skiff represents the holy grail in loudspeaker design. It uses a single full range driver which means it is a true point source, it is perfectly time coherent, minimum phase, and has no phase or driver integration problems. The Skiff is designed to play solo or with a subwoofer. The Boboli is a high output MC cartridge with the body machined from a single piece of aluminium.
At its price level the Boboli is able to reproduce an outstandingly powerful bass and an impressive degree of detail and dynamics.

The C-4 is a centre channel speaker which has two 4-inch treated paper bass drivers complementing a 1-inch pure silk dome tweeter.

The insistence on using only the finest hand-made parts ensures a no-compromise build and sound quality giving exemplary behaviour even from such a slim speaker design.

The two 4 inch drivers, made under strict specification, are special treated paper units enabling exceptionally fast transient response while reflecting the naturalness of the music played. The Tweeter is a pure silk dome that reproduces clean high frequencies even at high volume levels as a result of the unusual design of the new double magnet motor.

The veneered Cabinet is made using the Speaker-Resonator™ technology. It is made with an internal 1mm thick real mahogany veneer to increase the general structural rigidity. The wall thicknesses are different and treated like a “violin” resonator allowing the music to ‘breathe’ through the speakers.

The Phono 1 (mark II) is the entry level MM/MC Phono Preamplifier manufactured by Goldenote.
It`s Phono-Wide electronic design technology is able to match almost all the cartridges available on the market today, without the need to make any manual adjustment. The internal Dip-Switch is installed only to set the unit to MM gain when such cartridges are matched with the unit.
The power supply has also been carefully designed and is over-engineered to the extent that it could virtually drive a power amplifier.
The Phono 1 chassis is made of solid steel to shield the unit from RFI and EMI interference.

Priced at a reasonable £700 this pre-amp delivers a very impressive performance. It uses 3 x ECC83; 2 in the phono stage and 1 in the linestage.

It is the result of 25 years honing the circuit to a point where it no longer deploys a cathode follower. The result is a more dynamic, cleaner, `faster` sound than previous models.

The Croft Series 7 power amplifier is Croft`s ”entry-level” power amp but quite honestly there are only a minority of manufacturers in the market who are capable of producing amplifiers that are this good regardless of price. The Boboli Signature is a high output MC cartridge with the body machined from a single piece of aluminium and an internal damping “sleeve” made of a special polymeric material called Sustarin®.
Its 1.8mV output level, is enough to be driven by most MM Phono Preamplifiers. The cantilever of the Boboli Signature is made of a special Magnesium alloy to minimise vibrations; its lightness provides very good tracking ability.
The coils are hand wired from the best Oxygen Free Copper available on the market. The suspension is made of a special polymer to guarantee full satisfaction over a long period of time.

The B-5 Titanium tonearm is derived directly from the B-5 which is Goldenote`s best-known gimbal tonearm.

The B-5 Titanium features the same titanium arm-tube used on the B-7 Titanium. Such a specialised arm-tube made of six sections of differing thickness, helps eliminate vibrations during playback.

Sonically the new B-5 Titanium is very open and detailed having superior bass control and extension.

The MINI KOALA is Goldenote`s entry level CD player built on the same Koala standard chassis.

The transport is of the drawer type designed to achieve excellent disc rotational stability. The MINI KOALA , despite its very reasonable price, is a high class CD player using the latest Goldenote digital technology.

The PHONO 2 is a Goldenote Phono preamplifier using the proprietary Inductive-Phono™ power supply which virtually works as a DC battery. It also employs a more sophisticated Phono-Wide™ design giving excellent matching with almost all the cartridges available on the market today, without the need for manual adjustment.
Though the Chassis of the PHONO 2 is very similar to the Phono 1, a non-magnetic internal damping has been applied to ensure the highest sonic performance.

Being horn-loaded the AZ speakers benefit greatly from being placed near a rear wall or in a corner, this enhances bass performance considerably, adding a further 3 – 6 dB of bass below natural cut-off.

The B-7 Titanium is one of Goldenote’s finest gimbal tonearms. It is made of grade 2 titanium and aluminium alloy.

The B-7 Titanium uses six different thickness sections for the titanium arm-tube. This special design of arm-tube helps eliminate vibrations coming from records during playback.

The B-7 Titanium sounds excellent with a mid or high level turntable having nearly the level of flexibility and quality that the Goldenote Betania tonearm offers.

One listen to the Windjammer and you will hear performance that is hard to beat at any price. “they “image like lasers.” They looked very attractive like that — not only did my wife not complain, she asked that they not leave..” In my opinion, one of the best “sound and style” loudspeakers on the planet today is Mirage’s Omnisat v2 FS,… the v2 FS’s bass is decent and well controlled but doesn’t go all that deep — it has me itching to use a sub. The Windjammer, on the other hand, is not lightweight down low, … it’s quite fleshed out for a “sound and style” speaker The v2 FS is an Omnipolar design, meaning that it radiates its sound through 360 degrees. This results in a sprawling soundstage that’s even more spacious than the Windjammers’, but not as well-defined. I could never say of the Mirages — as I do of the Roles — that they “image like lasers.” Furthermore, because of the way Mirage speakers “spray out” their sound, you don’t want to place them close to walls —  The front-firing Windjammer, on the other hand, seems to sound best when placed close to the wall behind it (at least in my room).

The new KOALA (Solid State) is the first new generation of Goldenote players offered with the GyrFalcon model 8 mechanic module let the unit be claimed as one of the most interesting CD player today available.

The DSS15i, acronym of “Digital Static Streamer iMproved” is the Blacknote newest digital static streaming player capable of processing any kind of audio format thru any kind USB device.
The DSS15i is a total free jitter unit able to play and convert perfectly any audio signal.
The DSSi line is based around the same embedded exclusive Linux platform used for the Standard line that Blacknote developed to play 24bit high definition music as much as the CD quality and all the lossy format.
The DSS15i features two 2.0 USB ports on the front panel.
The USB ports support flash memories as USB memory stick and Hard Disk Drive (HDD). The USB memories properly stored with music files can play directly music simply being hooked to the DSSi unit for maximum simplicity and convenience.

The Micro 25R is the best performing pre-amp at this price point that I know of. ( EA prices for this level of performance were about double the current asking price.) The R stands for regulation giving the proverbial `iron fist in a velvet glove` effect. Bass is more focussed, voices occupy their own space and cymbals shimmer with detail. The Mosfet regulated power supply really makes a big difference to the sound. The power supply is taken care of with two large toroids and features a regulated HT.

The power amp has a similar specification to the Polestar III from the EA range of two and a half years ago but with various circuit updates. Power output is 50-55 watts RMS into 8 ohms. It is a hybrid design with valves taking care of the 1st stage amplification and very high quality SS Mosfets delivering the output. Regulated HT with  300VA toroidal PSU.

The Baldinotti is Goldenote’s benchmark MC Low Output cartridge. The Baldinotti body is made from a solid piece of aluminium in order to eliminate all external unwanted vibrations.
Its output level is relatively low (0.3mV) but can be driven by most MC phono preamplifiers. The cantilever of the Baldinotti is conical and made in two pieces to minimise vibrations. Its lightness and stiffness offer superior tracking ability.
The coils are hand wired and made with the best Oxygen Free Copper available. The suspension is made with a special polymer that guarantees a consistent sound performance over a long period of time.

The Piccolo is a clear acryllic plinth rigid turntable. Like all the other turntables it is a belt driven unit. It produces a very smooth, detailed and natural sound. To achieve this high level of sonic performance the turntable is made of parts exclusively manufactured using precision machining and the very highest quality materials.

The turntable platter is made of 20mm thick acryllic supported on a 15mm thick transparent acrylic plinth rigidly coupled to its feet. The Piccolo uses a high quality precision pulley for smooth rotation.

The innovative platter bearing/spindle system is derived directly from the best turntable models. It is based on an external threaded bearing set up with an in axis housing and uses the Split-Spindle™. The bearing has two small graphite/Teflon® internal bearings enabling the Piccolo to perform very close to the standard set by the more expensive models.

The S-3 is latest single ended Dual-Mono solid state stereo integrated amplifier that uses a proprietary Mirror-Amp™ electronic design, enabling the preamplifier section to work as a superior class A amplifier.

The Mirror-Amp™ is a gain stage made with a proprietary cascade differential amplifier with a mirror current, producing a super-linear signal, thus virtually eliminating distortion.

The power supply is handled by three custom made transformers. The two transformers are dedicated to the audio signal, while a smaller galvanically isolated one controls all the functions that could adversary affect the sound of the amplifier, such as the motorised volume control, the checking relays, the power ON led light and even the micro-chip used for electro-mechanical functions.

The S-3 does not have active or passive filters on the audio signal path. We designed four thermal switches to shut-off the amplifier power if it reaches an internal temperature over 80°Celsius (180°Fahrenheit). This feature, while preventing, dangerous operating conditions also enables the amplifier to achieve the very best sonic performance.

To ensure large power capability the S-3 features two precision low noise fans separately powered.

The Design of the Sampan DTL is informed by the design of the Enterprise and the Sampan loudspeakers.

The Sampan DTL uses two 3.5 inch drivers and two transmission lines (like the Enterprise) in a cabinet that is only 2.5 inches deeper than the Sampan to deliver riveting dynamic performance with an unbelievable quantity of superb deep bass. Think of it as producing double the output of the amazing Sampan micro tower.

Instead of using crossovers that can sap up current and lead to sonic anomalies to integrate and flatten the response of the drivers, we take the very novel approach of using two different full range drivers with frequency response curves that complement each other and transmission line bass loading to provide extremely linear full range response from 35 Hz to 20 kHz +/- 3.5 dBs and a sensitivity of 92 dB.

The Sampan DTL is a time coherent, minimum phase, point source design. It frequency response covers the audible sound spectrum. Because of the Sampan DTL’s full-range, dual transmission line design, in most cases a subwoofer will not be needed, especially when the Sampan DTL is used in stereo systems in medium and smaller rooms.

The svelte design and incredable dynamic performance of the Sampan DTL also make it well suited for use with today’s flat screen TVs in home theater systems. Its dimensions are an amazing 4 inches wide by 6.25 inches deep by 41 inches high. Combined with a small subwoofer, such as the NSM Model EXP, the Sampan DTL makes a compelling home theater audio system visually and sonically in either a 2.1 or 5.1 system.

The new Bellavista Signature is Goldenote’s best unsprung turntable. The AN-K is a bookshelf-sized loudspeaker capable of a bandwidth from 50 Hz to 20 Hz (-6 dB) with an efficiency of around 90 dB/m.

Careful pair matching, first by drive unit selection, secondly by pairing drive units with suitable characteristics to each other, and then finally by individually adjusting each speaker’s curve, under dynamic conditions to a master curve.

The AN-K cabinet is made from materials that compliment the workings of the chosen drive units, where we, instead of trying to damp the resonances in the cabinet, place them in frequency bands where they aid and enhance the drive unit’s work. The 2007 edition of Stibbert Tube is the latest release of  Goldenote`s most acclaimed CD Player.
Actually it is the only CD Player on the market made with a double chassis completely isolated through 4 conical springs. The main plinth of the Stibbert Tube chassis is made of a 20mm thick black acrylic shaped like the Ferrari Formula 1© steering wheel, as are Goldenote’s best analogue turntables. Such a special curved shape enormously increases the structural rigidity of the design, virtually eliminating any vibration feedback.
